Capital One
CAPITAL ONE
I joined Capital One’s Consumer Bank team in June 2016. Over the last four years, my essential responsibilities have been to reduce financial anxiety for our 68 Million customers. Through the years, I've launched 21 crucial digital features that put the power (and convenience) into your hands. This work includes my first two years as the Lead Designer for our Account Management & Servicing team, where we lowered call-center volume and provided customers with online digital services that used to only be available in a branch. Later, I became Design Manager for the Clarity & Balance Growth team, where I helped scale our design organization, empowered them with inspirational & tactical workshops, and built game-changing tools that encourage savings, provide insight into your spending habits and raise financial awareness.
This has been an impeccable journey to Changing Banking For Good.
UPCOMING TRANSACTIONS
Design Manager • 2020
Upcoming Transactions were created to allow customers to see their projected balance into the future by seeing what scheduled transactions they have and how those will affect their balance. Upcoming shows all scheduled transactions in the next 90 days including but not limited to bill payments, incoming & outgoing transfers, check reminders and incoming deposits that are on hold. Upcoming also gives customers quick access to edit or cancel the transaction should that functionality be applicable.
BEFORE: Scheduled (Upcoming) Transactions were incorrectly grouped & only accessible via Recent Transactions.
Upcoming Transactions have not happened yet, which made housing them within Recent Transactions architecturally wrong and detrimental because users were unable to find them for it to be useful. We know that we wanted to elevate them on our Account Detail page for better visibility.
SPENDING HUB
Design Manager • 2019
The Spending Hub provides a check in experience for customers to help them learn about their cash flow, what their monthly leftover may be, where they are spending the most, and nudge them to save.
To increase the financial health of our customers, we want to help clarify spending patterns and make it easy for people to make financial decisions. This would be the consolidated space in which a customer can see features such as: a) an aggregate view of all their money in and out, b) that view broken down to show how much they're spending on bills/non-bills and how much they have left (or will have left) at the end of the month (leftover), and c) tracking merchants that they frequently spend at, across their credit card and bank accounts. Our leading hypothesis is that a snapshot view of your spending across products can foster multi-product relationships and also help you save easier and smarter.
Trust me, theres more.
Let’s set up some time to talk and I can show you!
